I'm stuck on 9ac. Obsolete term for apothecary (9). I've got P?T?I?G?R. Could be POTTINGER but I haven't been able to confirm that. Any thoughts, anybody?

I googled 'pottinger' and the first things that came up referred to it being a Scottish term (and name) for 'apothecary'.

Webster's dictionary also shows PottingAr as being the archaic word

Jazzgirl's answer is much better!
PottingAr is in Chambers, as an obsolete form of apothecary. Pottinger in Chambers mentions only 'a maker of pottage', a small bowl'.

Thank you both. I had googled apothecary but did not find anything, I'll google more thoroughly! Andy
