Hi Keith

It's actually quite a clever clue ...

"Pressure dropping, plug back in sinks again"....

REP(p)OTS as given by aljanon, but the wordplay
is "plug" = STOPPER backwards and dropping P(ressure)= REPOTS (sinks again)

Yes, sinks again as in potting balls more than once in snooker perhaps. (S)
