Hello,

I'm trying to learn how to do cryptics and this one has me stumped. I got the answer from other letters from clues I've solved, but I'll be blowed if I can see how the clue helps. Clue is With acid around we set out to get a protective garment.

Appreciate a brief explanation of how you get from a to b on this :)
