Hmmm, although it may be large in dimensions it is really quite small in difficulty. Lots of festive references with a couple of carols and a couple of pantomimes and one clue about a musical game of which I had never heard. Favourite clue? Well its a bit hard to pick, but these two are quite good:

20D Dash in the off-licence? (6)

49D Mind-reading skill needs old grass (7)

Enjoy.

The first one stares you in the face but I can't see the old grass.

Hi John
How come you people in the outposts have already got their Christmas RTs whilst people like me in Surrey 20 miles from whence it is posted are still waiting.

I didn't get mine from the Coop until yesterday lunchtime after the first ferry didn't arrive until 10:30. We won't see another one until after Christmas (RT not ferry I hope).

machloop scrobe:

49D Mind-reading skill needs old grass (7)

The first one stares you in the face but I can't see the old grass.

Break it up a bit:

Mind-reading ... skill ... needs old ... grass

Hope that helps.

My RT arrived mid morning. I think it must have been on the same bloody ferry

Had a quick look and I think you have read the musical game clue wrong. I think it is Musical +game
Same answer if your not taking 40 winks.

PHILIP
PS Give me a clue on 11a?
