I've just started this one, have a few answers which I can only very vaguely parse. Could anyone please confirm/explain:
1d A short stop, touring one area of continent = ASIATIC
2d Girl close to Dalek in space craft - seriously = JOKING APART
16a Faithful companion packing got nothing in return = TANGO
They're all probably obvious but I've been at work since 6.30 am and brain is rather addled.
Many thanks.

16 A is Tonto - it's hidden in the clue, backwards. I think he was the Lone Ranger's companion - that bit might be wrong.

Many thanks, all. At least I know what I have is correct now. Think I'm going to struggle with this one.

Re Jo, one of Doctor Who's companions was a girl called Jo Grant.
