Clue: A parasite of course.
4 letters. I have T ? U ?
The ideas given do not fit and I am sure the letters I have are right. The 'T' comes from the word
witness in a clue of two words 'a grizzle observer to give evidence' which is 'bear witness' The letter U comes from a clue 'island for another meeting' and I have Reunion, hence the 'U'. So I am completely baffled.

Tout possibly, course being racecourse?

tout...adv quite, entirely...and suppose a ticket tout is as a good as a parasite

I should add they spy on horses at the racecourse.
