You're welcome. No idea about the others.

2D seaweed could be ORE & dark brown could be ACORN.
How to fit those together? Maybe you have a wrong letter?

Don't have the puzzle, but someone will figure it out.
Good luck.

12 across STALE (Urine acc. to Chambers) 'stale' also another old word for 'stole' ('no longer take')

2dn I had 'arame'. Only one unchecked letter. so it had to be this, although the parsing is unclear to me.

13 ac is 'halfpipe' giving me the 'a' in 2 dn.

Well done, Harlequin, re 12A.

As you were sure of ARAME, it suddenly came to me:
(C)ARAME(L) a dark brown hue
seaweed in (CL)ass

Though neither Chambers, or any of my dictionaries have that abbreviation

PS Harlequin:

The HTML tags have to be lower case, e.g.:
this is italic
this is not italic & shows the attempted code.

I ran some tests a while ago & found that only the 3 tags shown in "Reply" mode are supported:
"b" bold
"i" italics
"u" underlined
