Hi folks, I seem to be the only one stuck this week, your help with the following would be appreciated;

2 Taxing as a string in knots (9) I have stringent for this but not sure if it is correct
3 Its the pits for these, too! (8)
4 Unable for such hypocrisy (4)

Thanks folks ye are so fast.
I don't understand where the Swan of Avon comes in but it certainly fits and ties in nicely with straining. Agreed fits in then with "in accord". Colliers would fit in with "its the pits for these too",

Sorry silly boy its 6 but agreed fits in now that I have changed stringent to strained. I was just fixated on stringent and couldn't see beyond it. I am finished now. Thanks for your help
