Mornin' all.

Nick's drink has fresh slice in it = police station. That's 'potion' + 'slice' - where's the exra TA coming from?

Left at home with sibling outside = sinister. 'Sister' around 'in' I imagine which would mean that 'sinister' means 'left'. Eh?

Step into new Gateshead centre; it's very modern = space age. 'Step' could be 'pace' but I can't see where the rest would come from.

And one I can't get:

Strokes fawns (6). -R-W-S

Many thanks

Sinister is the Latin for left.

POTATION (the activity of drinking) with anagram of SLICE inside.

Well done The Alchemist. Maybe if I'd studied Latin at Newcastle University...
