Hi,
clue is : Good amusing piece (Express leader). Answer is 3 letters, U _ E. Pretty certain these letters are correct. Does anyone have any ideas for me please. THese little words are always the trickiest.

I did think it might be ESCALATE, but it would mean your 'O' would be an 'A'. Any possibility of this?

hi, sorry just saw that you'd asked about ule. i think ule is a scottish word for recital but i'm just checking on net - see if anything comes up. is the crossword in a newspaper/publication?

sorry can't find much on scottish ule. that was my instinctive answer but i could be totally wrong. only other option "use" but can't see how that makes sense. stumped.........

I went for Use in the end. US being a piece of amusing - and then the E as in Express leader. Big vague, but ill find out on Sunday.
