Hello again Jessie,
I don't know which dictionary you have there,
but it is given in Chambers dictionary.
All the best for Christmas,
Jerry

Don't dismay answers so bluntly until you research them. Jerry is correct and deserves a thankyou.

Dear Seaview
I think the word you were struggling for was dismiss not 'dismay' besides which I can see a very clearly stated thankyou.
The phrase 'mind your own business' springs to mind!

Doobie does not appear in older editions of Chambers but is included in the new ninth edition. So everyone is right -and happy again I
trust.
