I've been going batty trying to solve this one. I was thinking TENDS = raises but couldn't parse the rest. HIKES seems more accurate then TENDS but how do you parse it?

Hi and thanks Rambler. Yep! The operation seems to have gone very well. Am recuperating now and applying the various eye drops. Can see very well with the cataract removed. Will be 6 weeks before new specs are prescribed.
