Hi there,

Am a bit stuck on 8d and 20a, which are connected.

8d (10) is 'Satisfied a sailor's completely chipped a bone' and I'm not sure whether to go for 'metatarsal' or 'metatarsus'.
The last letter would also be the last letter of 20a (5) which is 'New No 1 no longer in concealment'.

I think no. 1 is 'star' and don't know whether to go for 'novas' or 'novel' or what for 20a.
