Muchas grassyars - Mamya. Lived in Scotland all my days and never had a farl (whatever it is). Been driving since 1967 - know a few short cuts but not rat runs.

Andy, I'm sure you've had a potato scone/tattie scone - farl is just a posher name. Thie Irish have soda scones/farls as well as potato scones/farls.

I was also stuck on 5d and away to ask for help when i had look through posts,i also lived in scotland all my life and never heard of a farl and i brought up near aberdeen harbour and heard some strange things but farl never now in inverurie and still no farl ! Amazing what you find out .
