Mornin' all. I've a handful from yesterday - must be losing my recently acquired touch...

Doctor enticed to suppress hesitation and mediate = intervene. Perhaps the hesitation is ER which leaves INTVENE but I can't take that any further.

French art seen in prominent complex everywhere = omnipresent. Anagram, obviously, but still needs an ES.

She does evil and other black magic essentially = hag.

This is a constituent of some lassos primarily = sisal. ThIS IS A con... is the closest I can see.

Attempt to deceive drunk Tory knight = try on. Why does N = knight?

Many thanks.

Morning

Struggling wiht some of these too!

Intern + e makes the doctore but why ve?

French "are" is es rather than art?

But -

hag is made up of the middle (essential) letter s of other black magic

S and L are theprimary letters with " is a" in the middle

N is often Knight as well as K

Maybe someone else can shed more light!

I think 'French art' is being used as in
(Thou) ART = (Tu) ES

Big thanks to you all. My fault with the Intervene - it just fitted so that's why I assumed.

I think in chess N=Knight as K is already taken for King.
