I've got two answers I'm not sure about - could anyone please confirm and, if they're right, explain?
49a Head leading gang having fun (8) I had ??P?R?N? so thought CAPERING
49d Ace joke (5) I have C(maybe)?A?K so thought CRACK.
Not sure of either of them.

Both answers seem totally fine.
49 Cape= head (geographical, Cape Wrath etc)+ring/gang,
49 Ace = crack, as in great,v good and a Crack is a joke.

Thanks Malone. I'd forgotten about that sort of cape, so then I was unsure about the C. All clear now.

Just one more I'm not sure about:
33d Get down oranges at first, in orchard. ?r?o?e
Is it ORIOLE?

yes and to 'get down' is to groove

Thanks - just realised oriole is a bird, I was thinking of mineola - citrus fruit. Doh!
