We cracked it Rossim (as above) thanks but I'll give you the clue anway so you can see what I was going on about: 15d) Smell flower in Portugal close to the top (5)

I would never have solved that clue. Many a time I've been caught out by flower.
Butter (goat) is another.

Rossim is a "she", I think, bernie.
I've been thinking too. I have lots of rivers that are also birds, but I haven't any flowers yet (apart from that neighbour to the Tigris - the Euphorbia!)
