A seer is someone who can look into the future (vision) foremen implies the plural therefore overseers rather than just oversee. Hope that explains it.

I just took it as a simple agent noun. Someone who sees. They are not always accepted in Countdown though!

Sorry rossim, with the enquirer asking particularly about the "rs" it appeared they had stopped at oversee.....(I also thought you might be having your lunch I wouldn't have bothered otherwise).

No need to apologise Andy. I welcomed another slant on it. I just separated the letters to make the 'see' stand out. Going to have some lunch now!

Thanks all, the T was indeed wrong. One last one to finish off. I think I know the answer, I Just can't fully justify it:

...called forth, and spun out round circle after five (6)
E-O-E-

I think it's EVOKED, can someone break down the clues?
