Thanks for your help melesmeles. I've looked at Scottish cats and the only one I can find is the fold but I'll keep looking.

I thought I knew most of the words suggesting anagram - barking is a new one on me!

Thank you, Lady Bee, for your comments on Kennelmaid (on another thread). I will continue to ponder. How are you getting on with 73 and 82?

Thank you, I have 82 but am still working away on 73. I can't think of anymore ways of expressing a medic or a scholar.

Thank you so much quizmad. I'd tried BA and MA exhaustively, plus many ways of expressing doctor but I didn't take on board the significance of university, just thought it was to indicate a degree. Don't know why on the many occasions I googled Scottish cats, that breed didn't come up. Thanks again.

No.66 - I know someone keeps saying an anagram of the first two words but I didn't get anywhere with that. I have an answer but not sure that it's right. They are German dogs, missing an 'O' which I took to express pointless.

winnie - I've never used Chambers Wizard before. If I've come up with your word, two things occur to me. First it's a cat and I thought we were looking for a mongrel, a dog. Then mostly it seems to be written as two words.
