Stuck on 3 this week! Have possible answers but don't quite see why:
'Prize bands arranged short repeat' _A_R_T parrot?
'French city bores heard in England' R_E_M_S Rheims?
'Put down, for instance in a bunk' A_A_E_ abased?
Thanks anyone!

"Prize" could be TOP and bands could mean "around", with "arranged short" being ARR giving you:

P + ARR + OT

"for instance" could be AS and "a bunk" is A BED so you've got:

A + B + AS + ED

Can't see any wordplay for the middle one.

Yes John. PARROT is fine. prize = pot and, as you say, 'bands' means around arr.
