This seems harder than usual today.
36 A. Informal discussion about hill north of an Italian city (8) ?a?????n

18 A. A cat in these expensive garments could be playing Asian twist music (9) ?wi??????
(I can see 'swimsuits' but have no reasoning)

NB. There is a single extra word in most of the clues. Thanks for any help.

Further letters in 18 A seem to confirm 'swimsuits'.

Very very thin, but Greg (or) with i = Grieg - pianist? (The swan giving the honky tonk?)

A poor clue imho. The honky tonk was superfluous anyway.
Has anyone parsed the swimsuit clue?
