motorists - RA

and a - a

just noticed that
motorists should be RAC (rather than RA)
plus partly digested food - cud, would make two "C"s.
I'm confused.

The word play on ST clues is usually straight-forward. This one seems to be saying "partly digested food = UD. I've googled until nearly blind but have failed to come up with a sensible (or understandable)answer to explain UD. I am sure some-one will immediately prove me wrong but I think this is just a duff clue/simple mistake.

Or "motorists" = RA.

Gunners = RA, would have been a better clue.
