10ac Finally, once or twice, page-turning Cosi Fan fan? (5-4)
O?E?A-?O?R
I think it must be OPERA-something, but I have gone completely blank on what the second word might be. Any suggestions, please?

It must be OPERA-GOER - could anyone parse it for me, please?

Hopefully it will help if you know it's an anagram of "e" (finally once) "or" twice and "page" and you are right about the opera bit. Who would be a fan of Cosi Fan Tutti?

Thanks neko
Have you finished? I thought 12,5 was particularly groan-worthy!

I'm doing pretty badly today - only half way through and I've been on it for a couple of hours! The 12,5 clue has me totally and utterly stumped.

Clue - if you string together all the preamble, it makes a (very!!!) rough "sounds like" of a long word.

1ac is a classic example of a Paul clue - guess the answer, then try to explain it. I don't think many wold be able to work "forwards" through it, though it does in fact make sense.
