CLUELESS CENTENARY

The duty of posting this week's Clueless preamble has fallen to me on behalf of greedy kite, so welcome to Clueless, our informal weekly clue-setting competition.

The idea is to compose a cryptic clue to a given word or phrase.

The winner of the previous week’s competition both sets the word/phrase to be clued and judges the entries for the current week.

The judge’s decision is final; reasons may or may not be given at the judge’s discretion. It is customary for the judge to donate a virtual prize to the winner.

To be fair to others, please do not make any comments on entries until after the winner has been declared.

Multiple entries may be submitted and new competitors are particularly welcome. Feel free to give an explanation of your clue if you wish.

The answer to be clued will (hopefully) appear on the next post - from greedy kite.

Clues to be submitted by 16.30 on Wednesday 20th February (unless greedy kite states otherwise) and the winner will be announced soon after.

Good luck and over to you gk

(btw - these stilettos are killing me!!)

Many thanks, RE!
While you're busy cracking your nuts (??!!) on this Centenary one, I'm busy cracking (wal-)nuts on the balcony in the sun, but will look in regularly in case there are any problems.
The solution for this week is:

The Chiltern Hundreds (3,8,8)

Have fun, and see you (at the latest) tomorrow evening!
