Hi all,

I started this yesterday and I think my head is still full of snow, I'm having probs with the parse of a few of my answers.
Any help with deciphering them will be appreciated.

1d) A hundred abandoning creative activity? That's a large number (4) R - F - / Rife (a large number)

7d) Dull woman's taken over organisation, no leader (7) A - O - Y - E / Acolyte (not the leader - A follower)

26a) At home old musical instrument had to be kept free from damage (9) I - V - O - A - E / Inviolate (free from damage)
In + Viola + te /how do we get the 'te'

28a) Most juicy novel full of passion? Quite the opposite (7) L - S - E - T / Lushest (most juicy) - can't see the wordplay though

Cheers, Les40

Cheers mamya,

i was looking to take 'C' or 'Ton' from something to get RIFE, didn't even think of RAFT (large number)

Again, working with the wrong word, I see it now for Anodyne

Anodyne is to dull the pain Anne (woman) taken over (B) ody - organisation with no leader = (-B)

Oh yes, Viol + ate. Thanks for that.

Still don't really see the parse with LUSHEST, i can see the LUST/PASSION Ref but not seeing where NOVEL & QUITE THE OPPOSITE fits in
