I haven't posted on here for a while (which may be a relief as I only ever post questions not being very good at cryptics!) but I have loitered from time to time to see if any of my problems were solved here. I've had an operation on my leg and been poorly afterwards. I'd like to thank you all for the great boost I get being able to finish a crossword that otherwise would have been an enigma to me. You are all very clever (and devious) and a wonderful resource.

Some people are very clever but most of us are average, just more experienced at cryptic crosswords. Everybody is willing to help other people, we all get blank moments however experienced we are.
