Hi p@. I was listening to Radio2 last night on the way home from doing my show, and heard Ricky Ross talking about Michael Marra - both of them Dundonians, apparently - in the Celtic Connections programme. I wasn't aware of Marra, but the bits I heard of other people singing his songs were interesting enough to make me want to hear more.

Mick mara.....is a legend here abouts, and was a lovely man to boot. Worked with him in a play a couple of years back . Sadly missed...I was talking to a couple of friends last night who were in Glasgow at the " gig" and said it was amazing.

No I am not one of those " loadsaweminsinging" but have at least ten friends who are ....

Muggie Shaw actually existed, the pub Bissels have wanted posters from the police of people , mainly woman, who were not to be served alcohol or they could loose their licence.

I have been known to drink at the "tap o the Law" though.
