Some of my posts are repeating and I can't figure out why. I only hit the button once.

Still don't get the gas one: if it's what I think (the only gas in the list that fits) can't see where the 1st letter comes from, either. Or what am I missing? Has the proverbial penny dropped for the others or not?

I have 3 short ones to do, 19d,22a and 1d.

Do you want hints on 19 and 22, jazzy? 1 is the one under discussion on this thread.

I'd rather struggle for the mo, chris. Can I assume that the first letter of 1d is one of the last 3 letters of the alphabet? Still doesn't help with the parsing though hah. Yes jaunty, (after the horse has bolted !)

That's what I have, and I think chrisg and GK as well - we can't fully explain it, though chrisg may have an idea.
