Most cheerful young woman consuming fist of raspberry tarts - CHIRPIEST fits the Def. and letter pattern but, if:-

R = First of Raspberry
PIES = Tarts
Then Young Woman would be 'Chit'? Where have I gone wrong?

Once again Mamya I'm indebted to you, many thanks.

PS.

Crucial aspect of situation that's articulated by MND character - I think it might be 'Bottom Line' but I'm nowhere near being able to see the wordplay.
