measurements is correct, bobsmum - SURE MEN in MEATS; "ruler" is a measuring one!

When I was at junior school, our teacher drummed it into us that a king was a ruler and the measuring device was a rule. Maybe this is the exception to the rule!

But isn't a "RULE" the period of time in which a king is in office? (As in the "rule of King Alfred")
Also the "Rule of St. Benedict" would be difficult to use for measuring lengths!
