I dont have the crossword so I thought the clue was simply "puzzle" but now I see the full clue the answer I had in mind is correct

I tend to agree with gaperon, but I think that crosswords do count these (modern?) words starting in "i" as one word rather than two.

Still a bit baffled, the only characters in Hamlet are Claudia, Gertrude, Polonius, Ophelia, Horatio, Laertes, Voltimanda, Cornelius and of course Rosencratz and Guildenstern, not forgetting the title role we still don't have a five letter character starting with O
