Absolutely stuck on the very last clue, and it's now tomorrow...
ie 1dn "in old-fashined way etc"
I have M_T_O_G_T and cannot work out where I have gone wrong. All help appreciated.

Certainly fits with letters and first part of clue ie old-fashioned "I considered".
And maybe ME is part in gaME, then THOUGH and T for tired.
I can now sleep in peace.
