This is an annual quiz in its 20th year, it costs £1 to buy and raises a fair bit of money for the school building fund. 1sr prize £50, 2nd prize £20, and 3rd prize £10! To get your quiz send a cheque/P.O along with a sae to The Blue Coat School, Egerton St. Oldham. OL1 3SQ.

From the School newsletter
I hope that you enjoy tackling the Christmas Quiz,
but could I please ask you not to post lists of
questions on the various answer-sharing sites that are
now available on the internet, asking other people to
supply the answers? It was very disappointing to see
that a parent had posted almost 40 of the 100
questions on one such site on 27th November, just
one day after the quiz was distributed! Our quiz
compiler works very hard to ensure that the quiz is a
stiff but fair challenge for the many enthusiasts who
look forward to its appearance every year and we
allow a generous two months for completion. All the
answers can be found using reference books and
websites, plus a bit of lateral thinking, and it is not
unreasonable to seek help on answer-sharing sites
when you are down to the last few really tricky ones,
but if substantial numbers of answers appear on
these sites anybody searching for just one answer via
Google will be led to ALL the answers listed. I am
sure you will agree that this defeats the object of the
quiz and I thank you for your co-operation.

I point this out purely for others , so they have full information when answering.

PS

I am not suggesting that this OP is the parent mentioned from the other site at all.
