I went to Wales once to see them, too jazzgirl, somewhere near Ryadur?? Can't remember.40 years ago! As I live in Oxforshire they are very common and I once saw 8 together. My friend has had them nesting on her farm. If you're ever down here, please get in touch if you'd like to take some photos!

thanks Rosalind. This morning I was out snapping ring-necked parakeets. There are 7 in the maple tree at the bottom of the garden as I write. Noisy things!
