My mind doesn't seem to work very well with the clues although with help so far, have managed to solve some of they. However still stuck on no.1 despite clues about an anagram/Greek letter = EA(?) river. No 6 starting Independent Bishop; no. 10 plaingirl in Virginia etc; no.11 but in Paris etc and finally no. 12 which I know is an anagram. Still can't solve these. Can I please ask for help again - thanks.
Hi haeremai18. Will this help..
1. Anagram of 'news' + greek letter for M
6. i ( independant) rr ( right revernd eg bishop) + name for a cowboy
12 Anagram of 'ordering a'
Thanks Winnie. Got Nos 1 & 12 now. Re no.4 are we talking about a ranch cowboy or a 'cowboy' builder or similar? Once I have solved this it just leaves Nos 10 & 11 and I don't think any clues have been given for these two so far?????
Glad that helped.
6. cowboy as in ranch cowboy
10. 'Plain' as in flat level land, made up of 'has' backwards with girls name and v for virginia anagram.
11. Crossword abbreviation for doctor + s followed by french for she.
Good Luck
Winnie you are an angel. Got them all but the cowboy one. Some alternative words for cowboy are drover, herder, gaucho. I presume I am looking for a six letter word for cowboy to add to the letters: I for independent and RR for Right Reverend? Am I on the right track or not?
Winnie. Me again. I think a cowboy is a Waddy. Am I correct? If so, that's me done with a lot of thanks to you for help. I just hope the next Christmas quiz is NOT rivers again!!!!
Hi haeremai18, If you are happy then so am I!
Yes Waddy is correct for 6.
Now, if you are anything like me, when the quiz is finished I miss it !
See you next time.
Please could somebody help with my last one - 5. Thanks Crockett for previous help, but I just can't work it out. Is it an anagram? If so an anagram of what?
