Cast are right to import gear - it doesn't need much pulling - HAIR TRIGGER - I can see it's an anagram but if i's of 'Right' and Gear' there's a couples of letters left over?

Just in case you haven't got it then:

Def suitable = expedient

the old = ex

triangular gable is a pediment (a triangle structure crowning the front of a greek building).

lose the m for marble = pedient

ex+pedient. expedient

I thought it was a good clue.

I have to admit I got it from the definition first and worked back. I'd never heard of 'Pediment' before so had to look it up. I thought the 'face of marble' for 'M' was a particularly nice touch.

It foxed me for ages too...and I also had to work back. Just in case I didn't mention it before happy new year, and by the way I reckon you have made fantastic roads forward in the year.
