I finished the clues hours ago, but without Brewer's I'm struggling to find 4 of the unclued answers.(I think I have the general theme.) Do any solvers know if the words are to be found elsewhere too - such as in Roget's?

Don't think so - they are pretty obscure words - which do you need - I could email yo them if you don't want to spoil it for otehers!

Thanks, sudokulover, but I think I've got them all now. Some of them are very obscure words, I agree!

I only have Brewer's 15th edition. Is that useless for our 'Leading Lights'?

I have the "18th" but I would have thought they would be in the 15th - do you need to know what to look for or have you already "sussed " that??

No, I've solved all the clues, but am groping for a handhold on the opaque letter combinations of the unclued lights. I assume they are names rather than words, am I right? And that they are all in some way 'leading lights', bigwigs, 'illuminati' in their fields, whatever they may be. A little prodding might help;-)

Well, thanks Tony. And yes, even the 15th edition of Brewer's comes up with the mightily obscure goods.
