...not a resounding success, i'll admit (i've never seen anybody ask if a clue might be in Welsh before) never mind eh!
i thought i would try one of those subtractive anagram type thingys that can seem so effortless when done in a stylish and elegant manner.

with Daughter (y plus daughter) in attendance, we could achieve unbridled - we can arrive at an anagram of, joy and laughter.

yes jazzgirl, it's an anag of 'joy and laughter' minus the letters ydaughter. thanks to you i can now enjoy my pudding (actually, it's a choc-ice).

btw. does Zzzzzzzzzz mean that i sent you to sleep?

@trevor. Not a bad effort for your first(?) subtractive. (but needed to flow more, if you know what I mean) Didn't send me to sleep but it was past my normal Nodland time.

I thought the answer had to be Jolan but couldn't get the parsing complete.
If you had the dessert you threatened, at least you knew where it had been.......
