Thought I'd like to put things to right here. The clue to 9d which leads to pensioner is indicated in an introduction by the crossword setter, Tim Moorey. The puzzle has a hidden solution within the top and bottom rows; once solved there are shaded squares to substitute further letters. A clever crossword to have a go at. Of course my thread already had clues that were answered on Friday/ Saturday by trevor.
