After this post I'm away to watch some telly on my new Freesat box. Have played around with it already, good bit of kit...

Metting to study diplomacy in government = contacting. I can see TACT/IN/G which just leaves the CON.

What pontiff declares about rabbi and king's unseemly - improper. You've got your pope there and a couple of R's for rabbi and king but I'm just not seeing the whole (as the bishop said).

Many thanks.

Meeting = CONTACTING

CON (study) + TACT (diplomacy) + IN + G

What pontiff declares = I'm Pope

A Study = A Con(servatory)

not 100% sure why study = con (or sometimes Den)but is very common.

Have fun tonight.

How slow was I?
I checked Con, re study and I thought I should put it right because I was wrong. It means - memorize: commit to memory; learn by heart etc.

One of those things I have been using without really knowing why.

ps. I'm sure you won't see this until tomorrow, I hope you had a great nights viewing.
