Oh no... Right at the end again, and stuck.
24d) Scorer miles away from hopeless linesmen (7) N-E-S--. If I take the m away from linesmen I get an anagram of....NIELSEN, but how would this be a scorer? Also
37a) Singer's right in wrong place- that's official (7) C-I---R. CHIRPER? CROONER with a mistake with the I.
Any help most welcome.

Scorer = Composer.... Love it!

And R in the wrong place to make the name of an official... delightful.

Don't think 37a is chirper. Crooner with the r shifted becomes Coroner - an official. Maybe you have 38 dn as Inflation - I think it shd be Reflation (relation = an account).
