Have guessed these going by definition alone but if they're correct need the parsing explained:-

It attracts old comic - MAGNET 'Attracts' but GARNET (Alf) is an 'Old Comic'?

See boss man on board - BISHOP is on a Chess board but seems wrong.

see as in diocese governed by the bishop also a chess piece

Magnet was an old comic too, so looks good.

"Magnet" was an old comic (Like Eagle, Hotspur etc.)
The boss of a see is a bishop.
