Greetings everyone. Crossword 50 and 51 seem to have got out of sequence so am remedying this by bringing 51 up. Am, in a bit of a muddle about which clues belong in which crossword now. I am stuck on (for RT51)

16A Alien entry in journal concerning intake
24A Remorse for stuffing most of fruit in bird

By the way jazzgirl if you are still in touch with Caravaggio (on another site I believe) do wish him a happy Christmas from me. Maybe he will post himself when it is the Xmas bumper edition which should be next week if my calculations are right.

I too miss Caravaggio`s contributions greatly. Maybe his children will have a whip round and get him a subscription to next year`s RT!!!

20ac What a pity the setter of this crossword doesn’t know that the West Country town has an exclamation mark as an important character at the end of its name.

Funny how some find answers hard and other solvers find some easy. I had no trouble with 10ac - perhaps it is because I was a Meccano boy.

8a The European city is Antwerp, so take away the article and you have an idiot.
4d The name of a river is hidden if you read across (foreign)
