Keith can you explain the word play in 23 A Jack as in heretic? (8) which looks like aquarius
and
26A American sleeper ("horizontal member")(8) which looks like stranger?

Thanks

I'll try to help on the first, john. "qua" is "in the capacity of" in "arius" the originator of the "Arian heresy". Don't see the definition, though (except that a "jack" could be a "water-carrier, perhaps?)

Definitely 'stringer' and 'aquarius' (a jack is a water pitcher): but the biggest clue is in Keith's post, above! No challenge today, unfortunately....What is Myops thinking?

Sorry - I meant "Where could I find it?". However if it involved buying a AScottish newspaper it's a bit far to go!
