Q. Golden performance starts in finale (6,3)
The answer begins with T but the only places in the UK I have found which will fit are
TEMPLE END,TEMPLE BAR, THORPE BAY, THORPE END
THORPE ROW, TITTLE ROW and TONGUE END.
I can't make any match the cryptic clue. Am I being thick?

THORPE END is golden (OR) performance starts (P) in THE END

could be your THORPE END.
