I was in Banglasdesh last week, so late to this one. Completed grid and all unclued entries except the long down one: SHA?S?N?O?ING with T N T Y remaining. Can anyone give a hint on what this should be?
Also I have at least 4 anagrams of Stars, but can't see what links the other 5?

Glad I could help.

I should have added that there are 5 solutions which are anagrams of the names of Stars.
There are 4 clues which are anagrams of Star. The two normally clued answers to be highlighted are also connected with an obscure anagram of Star.

Thanks again Tony
I've been through all the clued column and row pairs but still can't find an anagram for a star name.
Perhaps I've a letter missing somewhere.

As the closing date is tomorrow I don't suppose there is any harm in telling you that
the final anagram of star is RAST which is an old Spenserian word for Scratch.

Clues 9&10across read SCRATCHED TO ED
(ED being Edmund Spenser)

Thanks once again Tony.
I'd never of got that in a million years!
I wouldn't feel comfortable sending it off anyway - needing so much help.
Some of these EV's are beyond my crosswording ability!

The one that held me up was SETS ON which I initially convinced myself was STONES to fit the 'Rock' element of the theme.
It was only much later that my good old BRB
revealed that TAR is to 'Set On' (Shakespeare)
so TARS was another anagram of Star.
