It is Clueless time again – our informal weekly clue setting competition.

NB: I am posting this a day earlier than is customary as I will be away from home from now until Wednesday morning and can't be sure that I will be able to log on to the site while I'm away.

The idea is to compose a cryptic clue to a word or phrase which is submitted and judged by the previous week’s winner.

The judge’s decision is final - reasons may or may not be given at the judge's discretion. It is customary for the judge to donate a virtual prize to the winner.

Explain your clue if you wish.

To be fair to others, please do not make any comments on entries until after the winner has been declared.

Multiple entries may be submitted and new competitors are particularly welcome!

The Clueless 87 phrase is highly topical for at least one person on this site: WEDDING ANNIVERSARY (7,11)

Clues to be submitted by 16:00 Wednesday 21st November. I will announce the winner shortly afterwards.

Good Luck!
