btw it is significant that the clue reads "Dawn" rather than "dawn".

I loved the humour in today's offering. One bit of parsing escapes me:

9A 18 down 14 coming round Royal Ulster Constabulary (Scottish, hard) (9.6)

I get the 'Constabulary (Scottish, hard)' bit
but I can't see how you get the first word, which I made 'furniture'. Any ideas?

Future is coming, +R for royal and NI for Ulster = Furniture? (presumably with polis h , I don't have the crossword)

Then I'm getting old with you, dizoz: I found the word unbelievable till I found it in my Ch., which is not the latest edition either!
