Not so sure about 22d (eschew), have you any more letters yet or, even better, have you now finshed?

I was thinking maybe EDDIED for "22d Went against the current trend? (6)", as an eddy can be a whirlpool in a (river) current.

...or BUCKED ?

With 25a being LIDO that makes 22d E?D?E? so that could be EDDIED.
