Sorry, emrach, that was a rather belated answer for you, of course: I was rather involved with the Spec. this morning & then didn't notice the other postings in between! The quiz is very challenging!

No worries Greedy Kite just in. I have an answer but not convinced it does however contain a form of cooking and is a very rare cat which I have never heard of before and lives in said indicated habitat.

Thanks greedy kite for your clue to 19. I have got an answer which seems to fit the clue - it is very involved - a very complex clue - I can't be sure!!!
I am also wanting 27 - is 'a nonny mouse' a clue? If so, I am none the wiser.!!
